Hello friends, My name is Mewpov. I was born in Tangerang . I am a student of Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang and I majored in English Education. I'm in semester 6 right now. I live in Moch Toha street Pasar Baru Tangerang. I come from a small family of 4 members in one family. I have a sister and I am the youngest in the family. My hobby is listening to music cause I think my voice is very sweet. I listen to a lot of songs from western and kpop. I'm not fixated on genres, I listen to all genres of music. My daily life is a student of the faculty of education. Right now I'm also helping to teach a few children in my place. SUMMARY

          According to Smock, John (2018 ), the author of “Writing photo captions in Journalism Basics.” states that Photo captions are essential for news photographers to provide readers with basic information to understand a photograph and its relevance to the news. Professional standards of clarity, accuracy, and completeness in caption writing should be as high as any other writing in a publication. A basic photo caption should identify the people and locations that appear in the photo. Photo captions should include the date and day of the photograph, provide context, be written in complete sentences and the present tense, and be brief. They should also include the formal name of the location, spell names correctly, and include identifications for more than one person. Don't be vague in your captions, be accurate, label digitally manipulated photos, use verbs, don't editorialize, don't characterize content as beautiful, dramatic, or horrifying, and use "Wild Art," standalone, and day shots to describe photographs. Photographers often do research and collect the names and spelling of expected participants before an event. They use notebooks, audio recorders, and other journalists as sources of information. Over time, photographers develop techniques and timing to make collecting caption information easier. For example, they will often use the same general description in all of their captions.

REFLECTION

            Previously, I learn about reviewing movies where this type of news has the same structure as other news. This knowledge is talk about one of the important elements in making news is using photographs and writing captions.  Because I do not yet know about this knowledge, I will now need to read more about this topic because it is a useful topic for me in studying journalism course. Caption writing conveys information about who did, when, what, where, and why with interesting photo captions that can spark reader interest also captioning is just as important to the new value of the photo as the image itself. Having learned about this knowledge I now know that using photo captions is a few lines of text used to explain and elaborate a published photo. For me, the most important aspect was where we can find out how to take good pictures to be put in the news and what the function of captions is located under the image.  This knowledge is important to me in the workplace because it can practice the ability to take pictures and write captions that interest readers. I have developed my knowledge of this material that captions and images become important things that contain a summary of important information from news.

LEARNING STRATEGIES

                        Learning strategies are several series of student activities for the learning process in achieving the goals of learning activities. Each person has a different strategy in the learning process that is done. Every time I learn something new, I have different ways to complete a duty done. First, I will make a list that contains which tasks or lessons that I will do. I used to write it in a small post it and then stick it on the study table to make it easy to see. Second, I will do it in the most comfortable place in my opinion the comfortable room is in my bedroom more precisely on the study table. Third, I am very happy to do the learning process accompanied by a quiet music. I have one playlist that I always play if I am doing the learning process where I will feel more excited in doing it. Finally, after learning has been comfortable and enjoyable then I will try to start understanding the task I am working on, such as summarizing what I have to do in an easy understand language. I think it can all help me in doing the learning process to meet the goals of the learning activities that I do.
