Hello friends, My name is Mewpov. I was born in
Tangerang . I am a student of Muhammadiyah University of Tangerang and I
majored in English Education. I'm in semester 6 right now. I live in Moch Toha
street Pasar Baru Tangerang. I come from a small family of 4 members in one
family. I have a sister and I am the youngest in the family. My hobby is
listening to music cause I think my voice is very sweet. I listen to a lot of
songs from western and kpop. I'm not fixated on genres, I listen to all genres
of music. My daily life is a student of the faculty of education. Right now I'm
also helping to teach a few children in my place. The reason that I create this
blog is to share some learning logs in journalism courses. If you want to

SUMMARY
According to Dianne Smith
(2005), the author of “Introduction to Journalism © by Dianne Smith, published
by TEACHINGpoint 275-280 as part of the Expert Systems for Teachers” states
that A review is not a report, but
rather a critical piece of writing that focuses on the elements the reporter
found worthy of mentioning. It should make sense to the reader, extend one’s
appreciation of the performance, convey honest and fair criticism, offer a
unique perspective, cite tangible, observable evidence, build on accurate
observation and appropriate reporting, and make the reader feel, “That’s right!
That’s what I thought or felt even though I couldn’t express my reactions in
those words.” To write a review, the writer should combine elements of feature
writing and opinion writing, use colorful, sight-sound details, express a
meaningful, clear viewpoint, begin with a novelty (feature) lead, give the
writer’s overall impression of the art form being reviewed early, organize the
experience in a meaningful way, include details to support the criticisms, both
good and bad, reflect artistic sensitivity and avoid condescending manners and
simplistic statements, use transitions to lead the reader from one part of the
story to the next and conclude with a paragraph that ties the review together.
REFLECTION
This
knowledge is talk about the kind of news related to the matter of opinion that
I have studied before. Review writing is a type of news that contains factual
information that is the basis of the author's opinion where the focus of this
type of news is on the elements that are aspects of the review. Because I do
not yet know about this knowledge, I will now need to read more about this
topic because it is a useful topic for me in studying journalism course. For
me, the most important aspect was where review writing has types of art that
can be reviewed such as drama, music, art, publications, restaurants, travel,
and software. In this material, movie reviews become a form of review writing
where writing film reviews allows us to share opinions about works of art,
provide guidance to readers about the film, and provide a deeper understanding
of the aspects that make a film good or bad. This knowledge is important to me
in the workplace because we can develop the skills to write insightful,
informative, and engaging reviews that contribute to the discourse surrounding
the film and its impact on the audience. I have developed my knowledge of this
material that review writing can give readers an idea of information about the
type of art being reviewed.
LEARNING STRATEGIES
Learning
strategies are several series of student activities for the learning process in
achieving the goals of learning activities. Each person has a different
strategy in the learning process that is done. Every time I learn something
new, I have different ways to complete a duty done. First, I will make a list
that contains which tasks or lessons that I will do. I used to write it in a
small post it and then stick it on the study table to make it easy to see.
Second, I will do it in the most comfortable place in my opinion the
comfortable room is in my bedroom more precisely on the study table. Third, I
am very happy to do the learning process accompanied by a quiet music. I have
one playlist that I always play if I am doing the learning process where I will
feel more excited in doing it. Finally, after learning has been comfortable and
enjoyable then I will try to start understanding the task I am working on, such
as summarizing what I have to do in an easy understand language. I think it can
all help me in doing the learning process to meet the goals of the learning
activities that I do.
